Welcome to Prouty: Bike! The Prouty's bike option is our most popular and with good reason! With eight route options to choose from, there's a distance and terrain for everyone. All our routes are scenic, well marked, fully supported and FUN! Choose from our route options below and please be mindful of your route selection; while our rides are supported, riders are expected to select routes based on their experience levels.

Prouty Bike takes place on Saturday, July 12 in Hanover, NH.

Road

Road Bike

Take part in The Prouty the original way on the beautiful roads of New Hampshire. Choose the distance that feels right for you: 20, 35, 50, 77, or 100 miles, and know you’ll be in for a fun, well-supported ride for an important cause. Interested in a little more? Gravel

Gravel Bike

Tour some of the most scenic, less traveled roadways in the area with scenic views of Goose Pond, Moose Mountain, and the Connecticut River. Expect 50 miles of mixed terrain, both paved (49%) and maintained gravel roadways (51%), with over 3,700+ ft. of climbing.

Mountain Bike

Enjoy some of the best single and double track New England has to offer. Travelling through the Oak Hill and Trescott Lands Trails, riders can choose between a novice/intermediate 8-mile loop or an intermediate/advanced 18-mile loop with 1,100 and 2,400 feet of climbing respectively.

The Prouty Opening Ceremony - Saturday, July 12

The Opening Ceremony is an opportunity to unite as one powerful, cancer-fighting force before starting your Prouty. Come celebrate the Prouty community and their accomplishments, and hear moving stories about the Prouty’s impact from your fellow Prouty-ers.

6:00am for 100- and 77-mile Cyclists
8:00am for Gravel Riders, 18-mile Mountain Bike Riders, 50-mile Cyclists, and 35-mile Cyclists
10:00am for 20-mile Cyclists and 8-mile Mountain Bike Riders

Start Line Details and Timing

Please take note of the following information regarding starting times for each of our bike options.

Road: All rides begin after the Opening Ceremony at Richmond Middle School, at the times designated to your route (see above!). Riders must begin their ride within half an hour of their Opening Ceremony time.

Gravel: A rider-led start will launch the fun, departing after the brief 8:00am Opening Ceremony. Riders must start by 8:20am to stay ahead of teams of support riders, sweep riders, and volunteers retrieving route signs.

Mountain: A rider-led staggered start will launch with three waves, departing after the brief 8:00am Opening Ceremony (at 8:15am) for 18-mile riders and 10:00am Opening Ceremony for 8-mile riders. Riders must start by 8:20am/10:20am respectively to stay ahead of teams of support riders, sweep riders, and volunteers retrieving route signs.

Please note: All riders are asked to return to The Prouty venue by 4:00pm when all road support concludes. There will be designated checkpoints for longer rides, which you must reach, or you will be redirected to a shorter route.
