The CHaD Storybook Tablescape Tour raises funds for many of the programs that make the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) unique and are not reimbursed by insurance. These and other programs rely on philanthropy to provide the best, supportive care to the children and families in the communities we call home.
Join CHaD for the newly re-imagined Storybook fundraising event to support New Hampshire's only children's hospital.
The CHaD Storybook Tablescape Tour, presented by SLC Group Holdings will bring to life from page to tabletop some of history's most beloved autumn and Halloween themed children's books.
The CHaD Storybook Tablescape Tour will take place Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at the Bedford Event Center. Tours begin at 11:30 a.m., and tickets are required and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $10 per person while kids 2 and under are free. There are multiple tours available but tour sizes will be capped in order to ensure the health and safety of all guests, staff, and volunteers. Masks are required for all guests regardless of vaccination status.
Guests will receive a red carpet welcome by in-costume characters who will guide them through a Storybook experience that includes extravagant tabletop designs, a one-of-a-kind silent auction, live performances, opportunity to cast votes for their favorite tabletop design, and ends with sweet treats for all to enjoy.
Now more than ever, CHaD programs need support. We hope to see you there. Costumes for our littlest guests are encouraged and welcomed!
Additionally, the Storybook Tablescape Tour will feature a virtual auction that opens Saturday, October 23, at 6 p.m. CHaD supporters can bid on a variety of items, including trips, weekend getaways, craft food and beverage packages, self-pampering products, and much more. Packages can be viewed and bids can be placed at CHaDStorybook.AFROGS.org.
WHY CHaD MATTERS
From the routine to the remarkable, CHaD providers and staff care for EVERY child regardless of their ability or inability to pay for the services they require. Philanthropy plays a critical role in sustaining and advancing the many important programs at CHaD. Caring for children costs more than caring for adults, yet reimbursements are much lower. Over 50% of our patients are Medicaid recipients and payments for their care cover only one-half of the expense. Support from our incredible donors, sponsors, and volunteers makes caring for the children of our community possible, and all play a vital role in sustaining CHaD's operations going forward.
