The Prouty Opening Ceremony - Saturday, July 12

Please join us for our Prouty Opening Ceremony. The 15-minute Opening Ceremony is an opportunity to unite as one powerful, cancer-fighting force before starting your day. Come celebrate the Prouty community, hear moving stories about the Prouty's impact from your fellow Prouty-ers, and join us for our special yellow ribbon tribute. Events will start immediately following the ceremony.

Cyclists and Walkers:
Prouty Venue, Richmond Middle School (RMS)

6:00 am: 100- and 77-mile Cyclists
8:00 am: Gravel Riders, 50- mile Cyclists, 35-mile Cyclists, and Mountain Bike 18- mile Riders
10:00 am: All Walkers, 20-mile Cyclists, and Mountain Bike 8- mile Riders

Cyclists will have a controlled start led by police escort for the first mile of the route.

Awards Ceremony – July 12 at 1:00 pm

Join us at the stage at Richmond Middle School on July 12 at 1:00 pm to honor top fundraisers and teams, and to celebrate our 2025 Heart of The Prouty honoree!


Post-Prouty Party

After your ride, walk or row, return to the event site at Richmond Middle School for our Prouty Celebration. We will have a full buffet available at the Food Tent, including hamburgers, hot dogs, and more from our Grill Tent, pizza and plenty of other goodies!

Check out the Prouty Store, Discovery Tents, and sponsor tents. There is also a kids tent with face painting and lawn games for our younger participants. Lastly, join us at the stage at 1 pm for our awards ceremony to acknowledge the 2025 Heart of The Prouty recipient and our top fundraisers and teams!


Prouty Survivor Tent

Be sure to stop by our Survivor Tent once you cross the finish line on Saturday, July 12th at Richmond Middle School. All cancer patients and survivors are encouraged to stop by the tent, pick up their yellow survivor hat, sign our 2025 Survivor frame, share a message of hope with fellow survivors, and connect with members of our Dartmouth Cancer Center Care Team. We look forward to celebrating all survivors this year on Prouty day!

5:30 am Check-In Open at Richmond Middle School (RMS)
6:00 am Opening Ceremony for 100- and 77-mile Cyclists at RMS
8:00 am Opening Ceremony for Gravel Ride, Mountain Bike 18- mile Ride, and 50- and 35-mile Cyclists at RMS
10:00 am Opening Ceremony for all Walkers, 20-mile Cyclists, and Mountain Bike 8- mile Ride at RMS
10:00 am Check-in at RMS Closes
11:00 am All Day Prouty Party starts with food, music, kids' activities, and more at RMS!
1:00 pm Awards Ceremony at RMS
3:00 pm Walking routes close
4:00 pm Cycling routes close
4:00 pm Food service and The Prouty venue closes at RMS

PARKING INFORMATION FOR JULY 12 AT RICHMOND MIDDLE SCHOOL (RMS)

Preferred Parking will be available for all fundraisers who raise $2,500 by June 25, 2025. Participants who qualify for preferred parking will be contacted on June 26.

Prouty Cyclists can park at Dewey Parking Lot and take a shuttle or ride to the Prouty venue at Richmond Middle School.

Prouty Walkers can park in any of the following locations:

  • Garipay Field Parking Lot
  • Reservoir Road (Garipay to the Day Care Center)
  • Dartmouth College Day Care Center
  • Ray School

A parking map can be downloaded here. Please know we do not offer shuttle service to the walk parking locations because they are so close to the venue.


EVENT CHECK-IN - RICHMOND MIDDLE SCHOOL (RMS)

Friday, July 11: 2:00 - 7:00 pm
Saturday, July 12: 5:30 - 10:00 am

Cyclists and Walkers can check in for The Prouty during any of the timeslots above! You'll pick up your Prouty t-shirt, Prouty Gear Rewards, and have a chance to purchase Prouty Commerce items. Donations can be made at check-in to meet fundraising minimums.

PROUTY E-BIKE PROGRAM FOR PATIENTS AND SURVIVORS

Thanks to the generosity of Specialized, Dartmouth Cancer Center patients and survivors can use an E-bike (electric bike) for the Prouty on Saturday, July 12, free of charge. Interested participants are asked to speak to their physician to get approval to participate prior to signing up.

Space is limited. Applications must be submitted by July 1, 2025. Please note: participating cyclists must wear a helmet during their ride.

Program participants can pick-up their E-bike the morning of July 12 at Richmond Middle School at the Specialized tent. The bike will be fitted and adjusted on-site at the Specialized tent. Participants must bring a helmet.
