Each year, the Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI) gives out a prestigious award called the Champion for Cures, which goes to the philanthropist or organization who has made the most significant contributions to advancing cancer research, prevention, and patient care through innovative fundraising and community engagement efforts. This year, the AACI has recognized the exceptional contributions made by our community through The Friends' leadership by announcing that The Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center are the 2024 Champion for Cures Award winners!
The Prouty is northern New England’s largest family-friendly fundraising event combining cycling, walking, rowing, golf and more to raise funds and awareness for life-saving research and critical patient and family support services at Dartmouth Cancer Center.
Be sure to watch our special video which we shared with our community at our Opening Ceremony
Your support of the Prouty truly makes a difference for cancer patients and their families. And your support may be more impactful, and more personal, than you realize. Take a look.
“I Prouty for all of our patients at Dartmouth Cancer Center. Every dollar raised helps provide life-saving cancer care and fuel innovative research to one day end cancer. The Prouty makes it possible and I’m grateful to be a part of it.”
Honored her own cancer journey when she was 19 years old, and the patients she cares for today as a beloved nurse at Dartmouth Cancer Center. Carissa’s yellow ribbon honored every survivor and every patient, and the people who make their journeys a little easier.
