Doing the Prouty again.  Yep.  Going for the Ultimate another year. Planning on 200 miles in 2 days. Been training a ton since Jan 1 with TRX, spin classes, rowing in tanks, and now, finally, on the road bike, all hoping to keep injuries away on the ride and to make it a ton more comfortable to do all those miles.

I've also served on the Board of the Friends of the Dartmouth Cancer Center for 4 years.  Along with other duties, we get to hear presentations from the people doing the research that gets funded by Prouty dollars. This winter I joined a tour of the labs at DCC and viewed melanoma cells grown for the past two decades under a microscope. We learned about the preventative work to keep kids from smoking or vaping, colon cancer diagnostics being fine tuned, and the most exciting, immunotherapy targeting cancer cells through a system that searches thousands of potential treatments, determining the best combination for each individual cancer patient.  

I'm hooked on supporting the amazing work being done right in my backyard that affects the global effort to prevent and treat cancer of so many kinds.
