Over the many years we’ve supported The Prouty, cancer has touched our lives again and again — through the sadness of losing friends and family, and the joy of seeing others win their battles and keep going strong. Today, as I write this, many of us have just attended the memorial service for Tom Goldschmid, a dear friend, a founding member of the original Beam Team, and our first full-time employee, who recently lost his fight with cancer. My Prouty ride will be dedicated to Tom.

Cancer is something that touches every one of us. More than one in three people will face a diagnosis in their lifetime. It’s a universal challenge — and we’re uniting to help meet it, by funding life-saving research and critical support services for patients and families.
