I rode in the Prouty for the first time almost 10 years ago now in support of my Uncle Mike. This summer, I am excited to return to such an amazing event to ride in memory and support of my friend, Bill Mahoney.

Bill worked at Belmont Hill during both my time as a student and as a faculty member. In my years on campus with Bill, I came to know him as a dedicated family and school man. He cared deeply about his communities, and he was never far from the sidelines or classrooms as he supported and facilitated the work of the school.

In recent years, I had the special opportunity to connect with Bill over our shared love of cooking and food--often trading pictures of what we had cooked over the weekend. Through these stories, I came to appreciate Bill's love of the little things and our shared conviction that food is better when shared. 

While I will miss my Monday morning check-ins with Bill, I am looking forward to sharing his stories and riding for him and all those who are affected by cancer in the Prouty this summer.
