Erika Lynch

Hi all.
Greetings from Plainfield, Vermont. I have some exciting news to share. This year, I will be participating in The Prouty along with thousands of my fellow community members who will bike, walk, row, golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. I’m excited because I have committed to riding my first century ride (100 miles).
More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives. I ride in memory of my sister, Andrea. My sister was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 32, and she fought bravely, but lost her battle with cancer when she was 36. She’s the main reason why I joined The Prouty. There is not a week that goes by that I don’t think of her and miss her dearly. I also ride for my neighbor, who is brave and strong and has been battling cancer this year like a champ. And, I ride for an adolescent friend of Hazel’s who has recently been diagnosed with cancer and has begun her fight. All of the funds I raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center. Hope starts here!
Here are two ways that you can help support patients, doctors and caregivers in the fight against cancer:
Join me! Register for The Prouty today. Or make a gift to my Prouty fundraiser and help me reach my goal.
All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
One way you can think about giving is considering how much you would like to donate per mile. For example, if you want to donate 25 cents per mile, you would donate $25…50 cents per mile, would be a donation of $50….1 dollar per mile, would be a donation of $100. You decide what you would like to donate. Any amount is appreciated!
Thank you for your support. Hope starts here. Hope starts with you.
Love,
Erika
