This year, I will once again be participating in the Prouty Cancer ride on Saturday, July 12.  I started biking about nine years ago and have completed many different distances up to 100 miles but none have meant as much to me as this program.  This event I bike with a passion, not for me, but for people that have this horrible disease.

I joined the Prouty because there are people very close to me fighting this disease and I want to help in any way I can.  All of the funds I raise go toward cancer research and crucial patient support at the Cancer Center and help fund dedicated researchers and clinicians find ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.  Prouty funds also provide patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded.

I have the honor of biking again this year which brings me to my request; I'm asking you to please help sponsor me.  I would sincerely appreciate any donation you might be able to give towards this wonderful event.  If you donate now, your donation will double in size due to the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation that helps non-profits throughout the Upper Connecticut Valley.  The Byrne Foundation will match all donations!
