Welcome to My Personal Page

If you've found your way to this page, thank you for the support! I can't promise the fastest times but I will promise my best efforts!
On July 12th, I'm lacing up my cycling shoes for the 44th annual Prouty—a 100-mile journey through the NH and VT mountains that raises money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. After taking a well-deserved break in 2024 (translation: I needed time to forget how much my legs hurt), I'm ready for round two.
The rout will take me from Hanover, NH through my old stomping grounds in Fairlee, VT, up to Woodsville, NH, and back again—roughly 100 miles of what I like to call "character building."
For those who've supported my past adventures, you know I'm riding for two reasons:
First, the personal challenge. Unlike seemingly every other member of my family and our family friends, I am decidedly NOT an ultra-endurance athlete. I typically don't spend my weekends running up mountains or roller skiing; however, I've discovered that training for events like this pushes me to levels I never knew existed. I won't promise a podium finish, but I will give it everything I've got—and celebrate afterward with our actual endurance athlete friends over a well-earned cold beer.
Second, the fight against cancer. Cancer has touched far too many people we care about, and while my contribution may seem small, every dollar helps fund the innovative researchers and clinicians working tirelessly to prevent, diagnose, and treat this disease. Prouty funds also support crucial patient and family services that are otherwise unfunded—including support groups, massage therapy, art programs, transportation assistance, and more.
Whether you're motivated by your love of Middlebury, Dartmouth, or simply the entertaining mental image of me battling my bike across 100 miles of White Mountain terrain, I won't question your reasons—I'll just be grateful for your support.
Important note: Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center operates under Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health (tax ID# 26-4812335), so if your employer matches donations, please search for "Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health" rather than "Dartmouth Cancer Center" or "The Prouty."
Thank you for considering a donation to fuel both my pedaling and this important cause!

I am registered for the Prouty in 2021.
