We are Stronger Together!
The Prouty is a beautiful event in an ugly, horrifying time. The reality is that the dollars we raise may be all that the Cancer Center brings in for research under the current administration in DC. With NIH grants cancelled, with words like "female", "biased", "disabilities", "gender", "racial", "underrepresented", "systemic" and "equitable" prompting a grant to be discarded, our work together means more than it ever has.
Is this a political pitch for fighting cancer? YES.
Unfortunately, this is the political reality, and we all know that it is cruel and wrong.
This year, I ask you to join me and thousands of my fellow community members who will bike, walk, row, golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. And we are doing this because cancer SHOULD NEVER be political. Health care SHOULD NEVER be political. Raising money to save lives SHOULD NEVER be political. But it is. The good news is that thanks to the generosity of Dorothy Byrne, your donation will be doubled!
More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives.
All of the funds I raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center. Hope starts here!
Here are two ways that you can help support patients, doctors and caregivers in the fight against cancer:
- Join me! Register for The Prouty today.
- Make a gift to my Prouty fundraiser and help me reach my goal. Click the ‘donate’ button to support my efforts in the 2025 Prouty.
All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
Thank you for your support!
Hope starts here. Hope starts with you.
