Like those of you who are reading this note many of my family members and friends have been diagnosed with cancer. For some their treatment was successful; but sadly for too many it was not and they succumbed to this dreadful disease. For years I participated in the PanMass Challenge  in an effort to raise funds for cancer research.  This year i am staying local and riding in The Prouty; but with the same purpose to raise money for the Dartmouth Cancer Center.

According to the National Cancer Institute more than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes. Unfortunately it is a disease  that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives. That’s why I joined The Prouty. All of the raised funds  go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center.
