I am honored to join my fellow ladies from GLOW (Glorious Ladies On Wheels) in riding the new mountain bike course this year! Together, we will go all in to raise money to end cancer.
This year, I will be participating in The Prouty on July 13, along with thousands of my fellow community members who will bike, walk, row, golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center.
More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives. That’s why I joined The Prouty. All of the funds I raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center.
I have family members to honor and in whose memory I will ride - my father, my mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, grandfather, beloved aunts, an uncle and other relatives - in addition to cherished friends.
I ride for all of them and the strength, dignity and hope with which they faced their respective journeys.
I ride with gratitude for their treatment teams and support systems. I ride for a future with both preventions and improved treatments for all cancers.
Closest in heart, I ride in memory of my father, Jay, who received an autologous bone marrow transplant from DHMC in 1990, when such treatment had just crossed from experimental to approved by health insurance for acute myleogenous leukemia. Remarkably, the treatment was first developed by doctors at DH! My Dad fought like the champ he was, and went on to live for 25 years with his leukemia in remission.

Here are two ways that you can help support patients, doctors and caregivers in the fight against cancer:
- Join me! Register for The Prouty today.

All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
Thank you for your support!
Together, we are changing lives. Together, we will end cancer.
I am registered for the Prouty in 2021.
