About the 2021 CHaD Storybook Tablescape Tour

On the eve of Halloween, join Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) for a beautifully reimagined Storybook fundraising event. The CHaD Storybook Tablescape Tour, presented by SLC Group Holdings will take place Saturday, October 30, at the Bedford Event Center to benefit New Hampshire's only children's hospital.

A bevy of talented volunteer designers will bring to life some of history's most beloved autumn and Halloween-themed children's books, taking these stories and characters from their pages to an elaborately decorated tabletop. Beginning at 11:30 a.m., guests will receive a red carpet welcome by costumed characters who will guide them through the Storybook experience featuring the extravagant tabletop designs, one-of-a-kind silent auction, live performances, and a sweet treat from Ben & Jerry's. Guests will also have the opportunity to cast votes for their favorite tabletop design.

With the reimagining of this event, families are welcome and CHaD encourages its littlest guests to dress in their favorite storybook or Halloween costume.

Tours begin at 11:30 a.m., and tickets are required and must be purchased in advance at CHaDStorybookBall.org. Tickets are $10 per person while kids 2 and under are free. There are multiple tours available but tour sizes will be capped in order to ensure the health and safety of all guests, staff, and volunteers. Masks are required for all guests regardless of vaccination status.

Additionally, the Storybook Tablescape Tour will feature a virtual auction that opens Saturday, October 23, at 6 p.m. CHaD supporters can bid on a variety of items, including trips, weekend getaways, craft food and beverage packages, self-pampering products, and much more. Packages can be views and bids can be placed at CHaDStorybook.AFROGS.org.

Proceeds from the tour and auction benefit programs that 95,000 unique CHaD patients rely on each year. These include Child Life, Complex Care Program, Child Advocacy and Protection Program and the Injury Prevention Center, among others. Many of these programs would not exist without events like the Storybook Tablescape Tour and the generosity of CHaD's donors and corporate partners.
