Registering as a virtual participant lets you participate as a CHaD HERO and do your own unique activity. Hike the Appalachian Trail, race across the state, do a read-a-thon, the sky's the limit! Complete your activity anytime, anywhere during the event cycle. Register as a virtual participant and gain access to the CHaD HERO fundraising platform, fundraising support, and raise funds to benefit the kids at CHaD.
As a virtual participant, you can set a goal and crush it! Is there a goal that you have been dreaming of accomplishing, like walking 20,000 steps a day, practicing daily yoga, or completing a 10K? Make that your virtual CHaD HERO mission! Your donors can cheer you on and help hold you accountable.
Here are some past Virtual CHaD HERO examples.
- Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock (CHaD) staff and friends completed a 50 mile bike ride in the Upper Valley.
- CHaD Ambassador Renee organized a 5K race in her home town.
- Former CHaD kid Jesse hiked the Appalachian Trail.
- The Dartmouth Racing Team completed a one-day (overnight) "Race Across the State" from York, Maine to Norwich, Vermont.
Virtual participation also allows anyone who wants to raise money to support Dartmouth Health Children's, but just can't make it to the event or does not want or need the event amenities (such as medal, t-shirt, bib, timing chip or participant food) to register. This is a great option for Dartmouth Health Children's supporters who will not be in the Upper Valley on CHaD HERO Day or who prefer not to participate in person.
