Dear Team,

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for joining our Prouty Walk team and supporting this important cause—whether by walking, donating, or cheering us on.

This team was created in honor of my wife Barbara and our dear friend Bill Mellekas, both of whom have inspired me with their strength and courage. Supporting the Dartmouth Cancer Center through the Prouty is my way of honoring their journeys and helping others who are facing cancer today.

The Prouty is more than just a walk—it’s the signature annual fundraiser for the Dartmouth Cancer Center, one of the nation’s premier cancer research and treatment institutions. The funds raised by our team and others go directly toward groundbreaking cancer research, innovative clinical trials, and essential patient and family support services that make a real difference in the lives of those battling cancer.

This year, participants came together with a shared mission: to give hope, to remember loved ones, and to fight back against cancer. I’m proud that we were a part of it.

Thanks again for being part of this effort with me. Your generosity and spirit mean more than words can say.

If you’re able to join me on this year‘s walk in Saint J on May 17, the registration starts at at 10 AM with the walk starting at 11 for approximately 2 miles. The route is available on The Prouty link.
