Together, we will go all in to DRIVE out cancer. 

For a notable stretch of my childhood, I was sidelined. Sidelined from bicycling, snowboarding, organized sports, even foundational learning experiences in an elementary school classroom. During that time, I would spend my Prouty days watching from a good friend's yard to cheer on those that dedicated their energy and passion to support the Norris Cotton Cancer Center. 

More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* At the age of 8, I became a part of that population and spent the next 4 years receiving treatment through the Norris Cotton Cancer Center. I was incredibly fortunate to have access to the people and programs at the center. It's always difficult to put into words how grateful I am for the staff that worked so graciously and tirelessly to get me back into the classroom and on sports teams.

Not only am I lucky enough to be healthy, but I was blessed to meet and learn from the warriors that received treatments alongside me. I would be remiss to not attribute the fighting spirit I experienced to those individuals and their families. I also cannot express how strong, gentle, and thoughtful my family was in providing love and normalcy during such a turbulent time. That’s why I am joining The Prouty. The funds I raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial support services for the most resilient patients and families within our communities.
