Paddling for Cancer on Saturday, July 22!
This year will be the third year of what has affectionately been dubbed the “Prouty Paddle" - an adjunct event that happens a few weeks prior to the official Prouty event but connected in every other way. I created the Prouty Paddle because like many of you, I have lost several people close to me to cancer and I'm also a survivor. Raising money to fight this awful disease is important to me and I’m proud to say in the past two years, the Prouty Paddle has raised more than $50,000!
The Prouty brings together thousands of fellow community members who will bike, walk, row, golf, and more raising millions annually toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Dartmouth Cancer Center. Together, we will go all in to end cancer.
Here are two ways that you can help support patients, doctors, and caregivers in the fight against cancer:
This year, all donations will be matched 1:1 and due to a special additional benefactor, every increment of $250 raised by the UVR&F rowing team will also be matched (i.e., every increment of $250 automatically becomes $750!)
Funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation, and grocery assistance, and more.
Thank you for your support! Together, we are changing lives. Together, we will end cancer.

I am registered for the Prouty Row in 2021.
