It's time to Prouty!
It's that time of year again, my friends! Let's honor the memory of loved ones we have lost to cancer, including my mother Susan Herman, my grandparents Shep and Eunice Herman, my cousin Peter Goldsmith, my cousin Kate Shikavsova Crosby, my cousin Elena Oppenheim, my cousin Larry Goldberg, and my great aunt Edith Franklin.
You can help by joining my team to ride 20, 35, 50, 77, or 100 miles on Saturday July 9. Feel free to stay over at our place two blocks away from the start/end the night before, enjoy the Friday evening carbo loading dinner courtesy of the Prouty, and come back to a nice shower or dunk in the pond at the end. Michael, Miriam, and I will all be riding this summer, and we hope to see team of our regulars: John Lee, Elaine Gordon, Judi Wisch, Richard Herman, Sarah Herman, Peter Herman, Stella Virchick, Jane Herron, Gary Kofinas, Barbara Virchick, Paul and Jackie Dick, and Lauren Hefferon.
If you can't ride, you can still participate by walking, rowing, golfing, or just donating. There's a 2:1 match going on now through the end of April so if you're going to donate, please do it now!
All funds raised go toward research and clinical care at Dartmouth Hitchcock's Cancer Center. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
Thanks and Prouty on!
I am registered for the Prouty Bike in 2021.
