This year, I will again be participating in The Prouty along with thousands of my fellow community members who will bike, walk, row, golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. Together, we will go all in to end cancer. 

Kris, myself, and our girls have been participating almost every year I think in the 30 years we have lived here in the Upper Valley.  The year is especially meaningful as the Prouty in on July 13, the day of my mother's birthday-- she passed away from ovarian cancer 28 years ago.  I am so honored to be walking this year (usually I bike the Ultimate) with a friend who has battled cancer courageously this past year.  I think of so many-—TOO many—friends/ family and their cancer journeys.  I walk for ALL of them.

More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives. That’s why I joined The Prouty. All of the funds I raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center.

All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
