On July 14-15, I will be participating once again in The Prouty along with thousands of my fellow community members who will bike, walk, row, golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. Together, we will go all in to end cancer. I am a 42 year two time Cancer Survivor and was treated at the original Norris Cotton Cancer Center. My wife is a 20 year survivor but sadly her parents and sister did not survive Cancer.

This is why I have participated in The Prouty every year since 2005 and when I was asked to join the Board of Directors of the Friends of Dartmouth Cancer Center and the Prouty Executive Committee, without hesitation I said yes.

The number of people we all have known who have been treated for Cancer is staggering. More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives. That’s why I join the Prouty every year. All of the funds we raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center, services that a patient never pays for it is all fully funded by monies raised by the Prouty.
