This year once again, I will be participating in The Prouty along with thousands of  community members who will bike, walk, row, golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center.  As many of you know my sister Caroline passed from pancreatic cancer just last June, only seven years after cancer took my brother Nick. More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives. I have seen first hand the struggle that families go through watching loved ones fight against this disease and its devastating effects. The  beauty of The Prouty is not just that it supports cancer research but it is how it supports both patients and family members as they walk  the exhausting  pathway of treatment and outcomes. That’s why I ride The Prouty. All of the funds I raise go toward the cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center.
