The money we raise here will support scientists, doctors and medical researchers seeking treatments and learning more about how prevention, screening, and early diagnosis makes a difference.

Though the Prouty’s main event is in Hanover NH on Saturday, July 15, this year I’m choosing to do the Virtual Prouty. I’ll keep my rowing shell in Pleasant Lake and I’ll likely row just as far – or farther - on that weekend. My faithful crew of 1, my dear husband Doug, has helped me load my scull onto the car and take it north to the Connecticut River for many years. I know I can row just as hard and perform just as diligently right here without that trek to the Upper Valley - and let's face it - it's easier on Doug!

More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes according to the National Cancer Institute. Cancers touch everyone, including some of the most important people in our lives. All of the funds I raise will go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at Dartmouth Cancer Center.
