This year, I’m joining The Prouty, a ride where thousands of us ride to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. I’ve committed to riding the Prouty Ultimate; back-to-back centuries! That means I’ll be pedaling 200 miles over two days.
I’m doing this in memory of my brother, who sadly passed away from lung cancer, and my mom, who survived the ravages of laryngeal cancer. He was a rock, and I know I’ll have his strength when my legs feel tired. My mom’s beautiful, natural voice will be in my ear, encouraging me to keep going, even when there’s another hill to climb. I miss them both but I know they’ll be with me every pedal stroke of the way, during training and on the routes in July.
I hope you'll join me in supporting the care of those who are currently facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
