This year, I’m participating in Team Tennis to Smash Cancer, now part of The Prouty, alongside thousands of community members working together to raise funds for the Dartmouth Cancer Center.

This cause is deeply personal to me. The Cancer Center at DHMC helped successfully treat my own cancer, and the work done there continues to support the broader cancer community. Over the years, our teams have played in honor and memory of fathers, mothers, friends, and family members who have battled or lost their lives to this disease.

This year, while we continue to honor all of these loved ones, we are also dedicating our efforts to Patti, a dear friend of one of our teammates. Patti recently passed away from cancer. She was a valued member of the New England tennis community and leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and friendship to all who knew her. If you are able, please consider supporting our team, Patti’s Pals, in this year’s event.

Your support funds innovative research and clinical care focused on preventing, diagnosing, and treating cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services, including mental health specialists, massage, art therapy programs, transportation assistance, and grocery support.
