Welcome to the Personal Page of Mary Reynolds

This year I am playing in Team Tennis To Smash Cancer in honor of a dear friend and in memory of others who have not been so fortunate in their journeys with cancer. Cancer diagnostics and therapies have seen remarkable progress over the past ten years, but there is still so much work to be done. Too many cancers still begin silently and spread aggressively, often going unnoticed until they have advanced too far to be eradicated.

I’m playing in honor of Beverly Balch, who never turned down a call to take a walk at Pine Park, have a cup of coffee, or go see a movie—not just with me, but with so many in the Upper Valley. A graduate of Hanover High and a lifelong resident, Bev was a teacher and, with her husband Jeff, a local business owner. She was a vital and deeply loved part of our community.

Bev came to our very first Team Tennis To Smash Cancer event in 2014 and stayed most of the day—this photo was taken that day—not because she was playing (she wasn’t a tennis player), but because she wanted to be supportive of something that was important.

Here are two ways that you can support my efforts:

  1. Join me! Register and Play on March 22nd 2026!
  2. Make a gift to my Prouty fundraiser and help me reach my goal. Click the ‘donate’ button below.

Your investment will fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services including mental health specialists, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance.

Thank you for your support!

Hope starts here. Hope starts with you.
