Cancer doesn’t pause to check who we are, where we come from, or what our story is. It cuts across every boundary—age, background, community—and reminds us how deeply connected we all are. Most of us can name someone who has faced it: a family member, a friend, a coworker, a neighbor. And because of that, we show up. We ride, we walk, we donate, we volunteer. We do it with the hope that every mile, every dollar, every shared moment pushes research forward and brings us closer to a world where fewer families have to hear the words no one wants to hear.

But this year, our ride carries a different weight. It’s personal. Each of us has someone on our mind—a sibling we’re riding for, someone still fighting each day hoping for that cure. That personal connection turns effort into purpose and transforms a simple event into a powerful statement of love, resilience, and solidarity.
