This year, I participated in The Prouty along with thousands of my fellow community members who biked, walked, rowed, played golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. I didn't know if I could participate until the very night before, but I DID IT! I rode 35 miles in what may be my final Prouty bike ride as I switch to a less stressful activity in the future. That's my story--and reason why you're receivng this appeal so late.

I realize that you may have already donated as many of us in the area participate and I thank you for that. 

Cancer is a problem that touches almost everyone, including the most important people in our lives. I began riding 8-9 years ago in memory of my friend Peggy and to give thanks to DHMC saving another friend. Today,, unfortunately, I could add several more names to my ride. 

All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
