Welcome to Eric Janson's personal page

In 2010 I was diagnosed with Stage 3B lung cancer and given a less than 10% chance of living five years. I was treated at the Dartmouth Cancer Center (F/N/A the Norris Cotton Cancer Center) where I received 13 weeks of chemo and radiation. Fifteen years later, I remain cancer free.
My personal experience as a cancer survivor offers a renewed commitment to the effort. I now ride with a renewed sense of purpose – to raise money to support clinical trials and cancer patients in finding the treatment path most likely to work best for them.
After all is said and done, that support is what defines The Prouty. I am passionate about The Prouty, cancer prevention and cancer treatment. The DCC is a tremendous resource that is right in our backyard. It deserves our support and our respect.
Here are two ways that you can help support patients, doctors and caregivers in the fight against cancer:
- Join me! Register for The Prouty today.
- Make a gift to my Prouty fundraiser and help me reach my goal. Click the ‘donate’ button to support my efforts in the 2025 Prouty.
All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
Thank you for your support!
Hope starts here. Hope starts with you.
