Today is May 31st 2025 the day of Caroline's birthday and the hebrew memorial - Yarzheit date of Nicks passing. It is 10 years since we lost Nick and 3 since Caroline so it seems apt that I write this today as Paul and I prepare for the Ultimate Prouty on July 11 and 12.  Once again this year I will be participating in the event along with thousands of my fellow community members who will bike, walk, row, golf and more to raise money for Dartmouth Cancer Center. The truth is the weather hasn't been great for  training lately and with only 6 weeks to go I  have a lot more riding to put in to get me up the hills of NH and Vermont two days in a row. On the other hand I am so grateful that I have the capacity to train for this and what's a little bit of leg soreness and sweat compared to the suffering that so many cancer patients and their families experience .

More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives.  All of the funds I raise go toward cutting-edge cancer research and crucial patient support services at the Cancer Center.

All funds raised will help fund innovative researchers and clinicians who are dedicated to finding ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Prouty funds also provide meaningful patient and family support services that are otherwise unfunded—such as support groups, massage, art therapy programs, transportation and grocery assistance, and more.
