More than one third of all people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetimes.* It’s a universal problem that touches everyone, including the most important people in our lives. For the past 17 years, I've been part of this amazing community that helps raise money to support innovative cancer research and patient and family support services at the Dartmouth Cancer Center. On July 11 & 12, I’ll be riding in The Prouty Ultimate once again to help that cause.

Funds raised by the Prouty community fuel vital research by providing seed-funding to innovative scientists who have dedicated their lives to discovering new and better ways to treat cancer and enhance survivorship.

On average, every $1 the Prouty has invested in research has produced $12 in additional funding from other sources. Current federal policy decisions threaten to substantially reduce that number, disrupting research projects at a time when cancer breakthroughs are within reach. Now more than ever, supplemental funding from philanthropic sources is critical to sustain the progress of cutting-edge therapies and to ensure access to lifesaving treatments for patients who cannot afford to wait.
