What is the CHaD HERO?
The annual CHaD HERO has been running (and walking) 18 years strong! On October 20, 2024, runners and walkers will meet at the starting line on the Dartmouth Green in Hanover, NH. The CHaD HERO first began as a Half Marathon run and now also offers a competitive 5K run, a 5K walk, and a family friendly “Cam’s Course” 1-Mile Fun Run. Last year’s CHaD HERO was a smash hit, with an incredible 3,100 HEROES!
Why be a HERO?
The CHaD HERO is more than a run and walk. It’s a festival of fun and celebration to benefit Dartmouth Health Children’s and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). Participants, sponsors, and donors from the 18th annual CHaD HERO raised nearly $800,000 to support the kids and programs at Dartmouth Health Children’s and CHaD. Over the years, the CHaD HERO has raised nearly $10 million for New Hampshire and Vermont families to receive the best medical care.
How to be a HERO?
There are ZERO registration fees* for every HERO! To sign up, simply choose the event you want to participate in here. You can join us in-person or online, as an individual or a team. Once signed up, you’ll get all the resources you need to train, fundraise, and assemble a team. You’ll also get your own fundraising page and participant center where you can send emails, receive donations, post to social media, and more.
