Participate in the CHaD HERO
When you join the CHaD HERO, you're joining a community of heroes uniting to help kids and their families in our region. The CHaD HERO celebrates and fundraises for Dartmouth Health Children's. For the 2022 CHaD HERO, choose from the following events:
Half Marathon
5K Run
5K Walk
Cam's Course 1-Mile Fun Run
Virtual (your activity in a location of your choice!)
All in-person participants receive an online fundraising page, official 2022 CHaD HERO T-shirt, food and drink and more at the CHaD HERO festival!
Please note: The system will only let you sign up for one participation type. If you would like to sign up for an event AND volunteer, please register for your event and email kathleen.m.procek@hitchcock.org to let her know that you would like to volunteer.
No matter how you choose to participate, you have the option to be a part of a team.

All participants should be aware of the possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19. Although the CHaD HERO event has both in-person and virtual options, each participant should be aware that the risk of serious illness and death from COVID-19 does exist. For this reason, in order to help protect the health, safety and welfare of all event participants and the community, Dartmouth Health requires all participants in the CHaD HERO to comply with CDC guidance and public health authority recommendations relative to COVID-19, including mask-wearing and practicing social distancing while participating in the CHaD HERO. In addition, we ask any event participants who believe that they have been exposed to COVID-19 or who are experiencing any symptoms of illness such as a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell to consider alternative ways of demonstrating their support of CHaD and the CHaD HERO event, including making a direct cash donation to Dartmouth Health Children's.
