Your CHaD HERO Day
The CHaD HERO is so much more than a run or walk, it's a full and fun-filled day to celebrate and support the kids and families of Dartmouth Health Children's and the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). In addition to our Half Marathon, 5K Run, 5K Walk, and Cam's Course 1-Mile Fun Run options, there's something for everyone at our HERO festival!
Event Day Timeline*
8:50 AM: Opening Program
9:00 AM: Half Marathon, 5K Run, & 5K Walk Start
9:30 AM: Festival, Kid Zone and Participant Food Tent Opens
10:00 AM: Cam's Course 1-Mile Family Fun Run Starts
1:00 PM: Course Support Ends
1:30 PM: Event Concludes

The HERO Festival
The hub of HERO activity is our HERO Festival. Located on the scenic Dartmouth Green, participants, family and friends can enjoy a full array of activities at the festival. Complete 2024 details are still being confirmed, but here's what you can expect at the HERO Festival:
- Start/Finish Celebrations
- Music and entertainment from our main stage
- Kid zone with activities for kids of all ages!
- Food and drink for participants (and food trucks for spectators!)
- Sponsor giveaways
- Medical
- Race timing for 5K Run and Half Marathon
- Complimentary shuttles from event parking areas
