Welcome to My Personal Page

For the Kids and Families Who Need it Most.
This October, I’m participating in the 19th Annual CHaD HERO to raise crucial funds for Dartmouth Health Children’s and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). Please support me with a donation today.
Running in this half marathon has been a goal of mine for over 10 years. I was born with a congenital heart disease called Tetralogy of Fallot that required open-heart surgery shortly after I was born, then again when I was 13 years old. When my family moved to NH, I became a patient at CHaD, where I've been going every year since 6 years old for my annual cardiology follow ups. As a part of my senior project in high school, I made "cough buddy" teddy bears for children of CHaD who would be having open-heart surgery to hold when coughing, laughing, moving, or even when taking a deep breath to ease the pain of the incision. I also volunteered at the CHaD Hero race. I was so inspired by all the participants who raced to support the children and families of CHaD, and I told myself that one day I would run in that half marathon. I've struggle with exercise, specifically endurance, my whole life. Sometimes it was related to my heart condition, and other times is was because I created a story in my head where I told myself I couldn't run more than a mile, that I'd get too tired, that it would be too hard, or I'd be made fun of for not being able to keep up. This year I'm finally going to cross "Run the CHaD Hero Half" off my bucket list and prove myself wrong!
The CHaD HERO is a community fundraising event whose proceeds fund vital services throughout Dartmouth Health Children’s and CHaD, including the Child Life Program, Molly's Place, the Child Advocacy & Protection Program, and more.
Your Donation Matters – and can be doubled today!
Regardless of size, every donation matters, and I sincerely appreciate your support on behalf of Dartmouth Health Children’s. Here are some reasons I'm asking for your donation:
- Dartmouth Health Children’s serves 90,000 unique pediatric patients annually from across Northern New England
- Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD) is New Hampshire's only children's hospital
- No child is ever turned away due to financial or insurance circumstances
Thanks to the continued generosity of The Jack & Dorothy Byrne Foundation, all CHaD HERO participant funds will be matched 1-to-1 (until the match is complete)*. This means any donation you contribute will be doubled. How’s that for impact?!
Thank you in advance for your support! HEROES together!
