Welcome to Sarah's CHAD Fundraising page!
On February 21, 2022, our sweet Kennedy was admitted to the CHAD PICU for respiratory failure. Within 24 hours of admission, she was intubated and remained on a ventilator for 5 days. She was diagnosed with bronchiolitis, bacterial pneumonia and had a partially collapsed lung. We were terrified of her outcome and what all of this could mean for her. After she was extubated, Kennedy struggled re-adjusting to life and had to overcome exposure to narcotics. She remained in the PICU until March 4, 2022 when she was successfully discharged home.
Although Kennedy’s respiratory issues have continued since her hospitalization (and another hospitalization), our family is beyond lucky for all the care CHAD has provided for her.
Your Donation Matters:
Regardless of size, every donation matters, and I sincerely appreciate your support on behalf of Dartmouth Health Children’s. Here are some reasons I'm asking for your donation:
- Dartmouth Health Children’s serves 95,000 unique pediatric patients annually from across Northern New England
- No child is ever turned away due to financial or insurance circumstances
- The Child Life Program alone is able to serve 12,000 kids each year thanks, in part, to fundraising from the CHaD HERO.
Thank you for supporting CHaD kids!
