Welcome to Team Tristan!
For the Kids and Families Who Need it Most.
This October, I’m participating in the 20th Annual CHaD HERO to raise crucial funds for Dartmouth Health Children’s and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). Please support my fundraising efforts with a donation today.
Our Story
On November 15th, 2024, Tristan Alexander David Dunn was born. Due to in-utero inhalation of meconium via the amniotic fluid, Tristan was born unable to breath and was quickly diagnosed with HIE (hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy). However, due to anticipating this potential issue early and the subsequent immediate action taken by the Intensive Care Nursery team at the CHaD, Tristan quickly underwent multiple life-saving therapies including a 72-hour cooling period, an EKG, an EEG, intubation and more. Tristan was in the ICN for two weeks, but was finally discharged on November 29th, just in time for his Mom's birthday.
The care Tristan received at the CHaD was extraordinary. Quite apart from all of the therapies and interventions that saved his life and prevented lasting damage from the HIE, the care team cared also for his scared parents and grandparents, keeping us all informed, fed and reassured as best they could. We are so indebted to the CHaD for everything and so happy to have this opportunity to give back.
At this year’s CHaD HERO we are celebrating 20 incredible years of supporting vital services throughout Dartmouth Health Children’s and CHaD, including the Child Life Program, Molly's Place, the Child Advocacy & Protection Program, and more.
Your Donation Matters – and can be doubled today!
Regardless of size, every donation matters, and I sincerely appreciate your support on behalf of Dartmouth Health Children’s. Here are some more reasons I'm asking for your donation:
Thanks to the continued generosity of The Jack & Dorothy Byrne Foundation, all CHaD HERO participant funds will be matched 1-to-1 (until the match is complete). This means any donation you contribute will be doubled. How’s that for impact?!
Thank you in advance for your support! HEROES together!
