Walking for Greta and T1D
In March my 15 year old daughter, Greta, was taken by ambulance to Dartmouth-Hitchcock. She was admitted and spent a week in CHaD?s pediatric intensive care unit. She was in a diabetic coma and was very sick. The doctors and nurses took such good care of her. Our family spent the week there and we were treated with so much kindness. There was a kitchen stocked with drinks and snacks. Someone brought me pajamas and a toothbrush the first night. Everyone was absolutely amazing during that incredibly difficult week. They even brought a support dog in to see Greta once she was awake and stable!
We are so grateful for CHaD for saving Greta?s life. In a couple weeks we?re participating in the CHaD HERO to raise crucial funds for Dartmouth Health Children?s and the Children?s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD). Please support my fundraising efforts with a donation today.
At this year?s CHaD HERO we are celebrating supporting vital services throughout Dartmouth Health Children?s and CHaD, including the Child Life Program, Molly's Place, the Child Advocacy & Protection Program, and more.
Your Donation Matters ? and can be doubled today!
Regardless of size, every donation matters, and I sincerely appreciate your support on behalf of Dartmouth Health Children?s. Here are some reasons I'm asking for your donation:
- Dartmouth Health Children?s serves 90,000 unique pediatric patients annually from across Northern New England
- Children's Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD) is New Hampshire's only children's hospital
- No child is ever turned away due to financial or insurance circumstances
Thanks to the continued generosity of The Jack & Dorothy Byrne Foundation, all CHaD HERO participant funds will be matched 1-to-1 (until the match is complete). This means any donation you contribute will be doubled. How?s that for impact?!
Thank you in advance for your support! HEROES together!
