Hello Everyone this is Justin Laffin. I want to thank you for finding my personal page and give you a little insight on how my family was touched by all of the wonderful people at CHaD.

My beautiful baby girl, Josephine, Ruth was born on February 16, 2023, after my wife was brought up to the birthing pavilion after some tests. I happened to be two hours away at an appointment when I received the phone call from my wife, purely in denial, that my daughter was coming that day. 

I quickly rushed to the hospital to find my wife nervously sitting in her bed. As we embraced, I told my wife that everything would be ok. Josie would be four-weeks early but I had no idea the uphill battle this little girl would face. Josie developed a life-threatening condition called persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newboarn (PPHN).

Despite all of the challenges Josie faced, and the setbacks that she experienced, the providers, nurses, raspatory therapists, and support staff never lost hope. They supported our family during the most difficult time of our lives. 

Now, thanks to CHaD, our toddler is thriving. She is a spunky, fearless, and has the most fun personality. I am running and asking for donations to raise money and show my support and endless gratitude for all that was done during Josie's difficult entrance into the world.
