Your CHaD HERO Day

Whether you’re lacing up for the race, cheering on your team, or soaking in the festival fun – your HERO Day is going to be one to remember! Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of it.

Check-in & Bib Pick Up

We are pleased to offer THREE options for you to check in and pick up your bib and t-shirt. We will also accept in-person registrations at this time ($15 fee + fundraising minimum applies). Note that you may pick up items for multiple members of a group/team/family but only if you all have met required fundraising minimums or you are making the final donations at that time. We strongly encourage you to pick up your materials before Sunday, October 19th to save time on an already exciting morning!

All runners registered with the Finding Our Stride Team will get their race bibs at the Finding Our Stride tent on the Dartmouth Green race day morning. You do NOT need to go to the main CHaD registration center.

In-person registrations will include a $15 registration fee (in addition to any applicable fundraising minimum) — save time and funds by registering online prior to Thursday, October 16th at 8am!

Parking Information & Road Closures

CHaD HERO participants have two official options for event parking! Choose to park at either the Dewey Lot in Hanover (walking distance to the HERO) or at Lot 20 in Lebanon (shuttle service provided to the HERO). Details below:

Dewey Lot Parking - NO SHUTTLE SERVICE. Quick 1 mile walk to the HERO site.

Note: When choosing your parking location, please allow for time to walk or shuttle to the HERO site and check-in/bib pick up (if necessary).


Event Day Shuttles - From Lot 20 Only

6:45 am - 1:30 pm shuttle bus runs from Lot 20 to the CHaD HERO event area.

  • Shuttles to event will drop off at the southern end of the Dartmouth Green between Main Street and College Street. Between the hours of 8:50am and 9:20am shuttles may be delayed due to the start of the 5K and Half-Marathon.
    Please note: if you arrive at Lot 20 between 8:35am and 9:10am you will be dropped off at an alternative location approximately a 10 minute walk from the Green.
  • Shuttles returning to Lot 20 will leave from College street and the Dartmouth Green beginning at 11:00am


Event Day Road Closures:

On Sunday, October 19th, Road Closures will take place in Hanover, New Hampshire (no road closures in Norwich, Vermont). Signs will be posted on the streets that will be impacted on the Monday before the event. Expect delays and closures along the course during peak times of the race. Event Day Accessible Parking

Limited reserved accessible parking is available. Please contact us if you are in need of accessible parking.

Event Day Timeline*

7–10:00 AM: Check-In & Bib Pick-Up on the Dartmouth Green

8:50 AM: Opening Ceremony

9:00 AM: Half Marathon, 5K Run, & 5K Walk Start

9:30 AM: Festival, Kid Zone and Participant Food Tent Opens

10:00 AM: Cam's Course 1-Mile Family Fun Run Starts

1:00 PM: Course Support Ends

1:30 PM: HERO Day Wrap–Up

The HERO Festival

The hub of HERO activity is our HERO Festival. Located on the scenic Dartmouth Green, participants, family and friends can enjoy a full array of activities at the festival. Complete 2025 details are still being confirmed, but here's what you can expect at the HERO Festival:
